Sealord are well aware of the impact that companies can have on the
local community and have always actively tried to employ
people from the surrounding areas.
Sealord also help various charities around the local area and sponsor
many events in the town, including the annual
Celtic festival and Caistor's very own `Round the World' Yachtswoman,
Rachel Axcell.
The schools do
not miss out either, from donations for worthy causes to helping give
advice to students
on business
matters. The site visit by Caistor Grammar School business students has
also become
an annual event.
For the past 3 years Keith Brown has orchestrated the project of the
erection of the giant Christmas tree in Caistor market
place with Sealord being the main sponsor. Keith has been over to
Norway
to select and 'fell' the
Christmas tree along with Tore Tidermann, the Mayor of Enerbakk, who
along with the people of
Enerbakk, kindly donated the tree to the people of Caistor. The bond
is so strong that Tore came up with idea of twinning programme between
the caistor and Enerbakk schools too.
